Vancouver, B.C., November 29, 2013: Desert Star Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: DSR) (the “Company”) reports that, as a result of a review by the British Columbia Securities Commission (the “BCSC”), the Company is issuing the following news release to clarify its disclosure.

In its February 22, 2013 press release, and on a previous version of the Company’s corporate presentation and the Callaghan project pages of its website, the Company disclosed a historical estimate for the Callaghan Gold project without providing the necessary information required by section 2.4 of National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”). Accordingly, the Company retracts the historical estimate and advises that such statements should not be relied upon.

The Company also disclosed on its website, corporate presentations and certain of its recent news releases, mineral resources of nearby projects in contravention of section 2.2 of NI 43-101. Specifically, the Company disclosed mineral resources of nearby projects without disclosing the applicable categories of mineral resources; by adding inferred resources to other categories of mineral resources; and by disclosing mineral resources solely in the form of metal content. To address the BCSC’s comments, the Company has removed and retracts from its corporate presentation, website and recent news releases, references to mineral resources of projects located near the Company’s projects.
